🪧 Postponement of Public Enquiry
The public inquiry, scheduled to open on 6 October 2026, has been postponed.
This postponement follows a letter from lawyers – acting pro bono for our Coalition – requesting that the Home Office publish more material relating to its planning application. Large parts of the material have been withheld or redacted. The letter argued that without this material, proper public scrutiny is not possible.
This public inquiry will be the first time when the Home Office’s argument for more detention spaces will be publicly scrutinised and tested. For more information on the procedure, and updates on a new date (to be announced) please check the information on our News page, and on the Planning Inspectorate web page.

🪧 Monthly demonstrations
CAMPSFIELD HOUSE IRC, LANGFORD LANE, KIDLINGTON OX5 1RE
We hold monthly demonstrations on the last Saturday of the month, assembling at 12:00 noon outside Campsfield House IRC.
We assemble to protest the reopening of this detention prison, to show our solidarity with the people imprisoned inside, and to try to communicate with them and support them.
Bring signs, banners, instruments, music. Dress comfortably and for the weather. Some prefer to wear a face mask.

Bus routes from Oxford, Magdalen Street, stop C4, to Kidlington:
- S3 Gold to “Langford Lane West” stop (+ 10 min walk to site)
- S7 to “Evenlode Crescent” stop (+ 1 min walk to site)
